Kremlin: Yamal–Europe booking cuts have commercial reasons
MOSCOW, Dec 21 (PRIME) -- The Yamal–Europe gas deliveries is commercial, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday.
"This is an absolutely commercial situation. You must ask Gazprom for the reasons. But there is no connection, this is an absolutely commercial situation," Peskov said when asked whether suspension of supplies via the pipeline was connected with discontinuation of sales to Germany and filling of the second line of Nord Stream 2.
Last week Gazprom severely reduced the capacity booked on Yamal–Europe on daily auctions. The company bought 5.2 million cubic meters of capacity on December 18, 4.2 million on December 19 and 3.8 million on Monday from 89.1 million cubic meters available per day.
